German BENZ STAR SDconnect C5 - Mercedes Diagnostic & Programming Scanner

I got the C5 unit from this company working great so far. Returning customer I purchased c3 from them over 10 years ago and still working!. As stated German made and do last. Just needed newer unit to be able to work on newer models.

We purchased two scanners from this company for our shop in US Virgin Island and when we received the unit it was not connecting with vehicle and was not happy at that time as customer was waiting for his vehicle to be repaired.  We contacted Autoscanit support team and was able to get fast response from them.
They logged in remotely to our computer to show use the steps on how to scan the vehicle and they noticed the car's battery had low volts the reason why scanner would not connect.  They told us to charge battery and showed us how to scan the car which we did and got the job done.

It gives such comprehensive information and diagnosis, and allows for easy zeroing of error codes, checking of live running data/engine, transmission and SRS status, plus much more that I have not had chance to use yet.
Great tool for DIY mercedes maintenance.

I got this product because my old scanner could not detect the problem. I then tried two different Bluetooth products and they could not find the problem either. I really wanted to get scanner directly from Mercedes  but, for a DIY backyard mechanic that is simply out of the question. So, I ordered this Mercedes C5 scanner set. This set came with all parts needed to operate(plug and play) user friendly(easy to use). I plugged the scanner into my car and it immediately found my problem and reset my computer. It reads every system in my car from VIN number to transmission codes. Laptop also hooks into my wifi. The C5 is the best scanner I every used and it went way beyond the price I paid for it. the scanner itself it will be amazing. I highly recommend this scanner and I am happy I purchased it. This is a great product.

not hard to get going with it and there are lots of features I am still getting used to. Had some questions about all the programs it came with and support team got back to me within same day.  Happy so far considering the low buy in price. I work on a car lot so this is a handy tool for us here.

I’ve been using this for a while now and it works on every Mercedes brand including sprinters and smart cars I’ve tried it on.
The only one it didn’t work in was one with a broken OBII port, but that’s expected obviously.
I like how user friendly the unit is, just put your information in and you’ll be set.
I’ve gotten a lot of use out of it and it detects the same functions that the dealer units can as I have worked in dealer ship before I owned my own shop.

The staff at AutoScanit are great. I just purchased my second unit, first was the C4 which is a work horse and now the C5 which is very nice upgrade. Outstanding customer support from dedicated personnel makes buying equipment from AutoScanit the best decision.  

This product is very good for the value. This OBDII scanner can give you lots of information about your vehicle. The laptop/software is really easy to read and use, the housing is made of durable German parts and sturdy materials. The connector is strong The scanner gives clear instructions.

They can give all data points about your voltage, read/clear check engine lights, can you give a diagnostic and check the Vin of your vehicle. Can also give you all same functions as dealers can as it comes with all programs as dealers units, even comes with EPC/WIS Vedemo, DTS Monoco, SDMedia which shows video's on how to fix problem on the car, wiring diagrams.  Only way to get same scanner is to go to dealers and pay an arm and leg for it. As there is no other scanner that can do same functions in the market and I have tried lots of scanners in my life.
I’m still using the scanner but for the price it’s a great purchase! 10/10 recommend to anybody!
